Discover the history of the Olympic Stadium!

The Olympic Stadium was designed by the architect Pere Domènech i Roura and opened in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exposition.

The 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona allowed for its remodelling by the Correa-Milà-Margarit-Buixadé team of architects and with the participation of the Italian Gregotti. Only the façade and the two sculptures of jockeys by Pau Gargallo were preserved.

The stadium was reopened on 8 September 1989 for the Athletics World Cup. Since then it has been the scene of many sporting, musical and corporate events.

But before all this, the Stadium experienced many historic moments, come and discover them!
